Another day, another hour, another minute,
Doesn't really matter, it blends together,
Another stormy day, the sound of rain on pavement,
It goes pitter patter, don't mind the weather.
I sit here inside reading the words I've written,
Ballpoint pen in hand, a bunch of gibberish on pages,
I've revised time and again but something just isn't fittin',
My mind is clouded over, my thoughts all locked in cages.
The story of my life, a couple pages ripped out,
What did they mean, and where have they gone?
Stab the apple with the knife, watch it fall to the floor and roll about,
I'm not too keen, but then again, I'm just a pawn (in this game of life).
I start to write sideways, make it a little more interesting,
Have some fun, break a couple rules,
Write with crayons and highlighters, until I find what works I'll just keep on testing,
And when I'm done, I watch the fire as it cools.
The story of my life, a couple pages not there,
What did they say, and where did they go?
Stab my sorrow with the knife, yeah it's the truth life's not fair,
So seize the day, grab a seat and catch the show.
R-E-A-L-I-T-Y
A string of letters formed to make a word, used in sentences sometimes.
What is happening to my life?
A mass of contradictions, every one of which you hate/love.
The story of my life, a couple pages missing.
The story of my life, a couple pages ripped out,
What did they mean, and where have they gone?
